ABOUT
Saturday, 9 November is a red letter day for runners and businesses alike as the KPMG Business Relay - the longest standing event of its kind in the country - takes to the streets for the 29th consecutive year

Teams from across KZN and as far afield as Johannesburg, choose to walk or run the 5km race which takes place at Growthpoint Kings Park Stadium in Durban. It has become a calendar event for companies looking for a healthy teambuilding exercise and a chance to enjoy some year-end socialising in the festive marquee village after the race.

There will be a 21/2 hour time limit to complete the relay.

ROUTE
Start on the fields at Growthpoint, KINGS PARK in front of the change over lanes. Follow the route to the exit. Turn left onto Masabalala Yengwa Avenue (old NMR Avenue). At the Engen garage turn right onto Athlone Drive. Continue towards the sea, go under the M4 bridge and turn right onto Snell Parade Road. Keep walking/running until you see signs to turn right and go through the underground tunnel heading towards Moses Mabhida Stadium. At the stadium turn right back onto Masabalala Yengwa Avenue and then take the first left into Isaiah Ntshangase (old Walter Gilbert Road). Turn right into the Growthpoint, KINGS PARK.

TEAM MIX
Mixed teams are to have a minimum of 2 women for a running team and 1 woman for a walking team. Women must complete legs 2 and 4 of the run or 2 of the walk. All teams and wheelchair teams must have 3 members ONLY.

All 5 (or 3) members of the team must be permanent, full-time employees of the same business organisation. Where all 5 (or 3) members are NOT EMPLOYED by the same organisation, this must be indicated on the entry form as a NON-COMPANY team.

AGE CATEGORIES
The minimum age of participants is 16 years of age.

SECONDING
No seconds will be allowed to follow or keep pace with runners/walkers.
RECEPTION SITES
Reception site booking to be submitted by: Friday, 4 October 2013 (An additional fee of R40 for sites up to 5m x 5m and R50 for sites larger than 5m x 5m will be levied after this date). PLEASE NOTE THAT SITES WILL BE ISSUED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Site fees do not include marquee or additional tables, chairs etc. These must be arranged directly with STAR HIRING INTERNATIONAL which has the rights to supply goods to the sites. PLEASE CONTACT DILSHAD (033-397 0251). Companies must ensure sites booked can accommodate the marquee. Please submit site booking forms with entry forms to avoid disappointment. Site booking fees may be included with entry fees.

BRAAI FACILITIES
If you bring your own braai, you MUST supply your own braai plate to protect the grass. NO BRAAI’s will be allowed in without these
